Joe

Director & co-founder - Product & route design, team management & sales and marketing.

It all started in 1990 when I put together a ride from Warsaw in Poland back to London in the UK via Germany and France to raise money for the charity Marie Curie Cancer Care, it was this 1,200 mile ride that created the recipe and unending enthusiasm to make life about travel, adventure and cycling. This quickly led me into my first really remote ride in 1992 when I first experienced cycling in the Himalayas on the 840 mile ride from Rawalpindi in Pakistan to Kashgar in China on the KKH, this established my never ending love for the big mountain ranges of the world and traveling in a self sufficient way.

I started my journey attending school in Kalimpong and Darjeeling in the beautiful hill stations of India. I then attended university also in India in Shillong and went onto study further in Austria for a degree in tourism management and hospitality.

After some time spent abroad including in the UK I returned to my beautiful homeland of Bhutan and set up a travel company specialising in adventure tourism with my Nepalese business partner called Dharma Adventure. We run tours on foot, on bicycles and on motorbikes and have a fleet of KTM adventure bikes which we travel as far afield as Mongolia on.

Sean

Head of support team management and cycling journalist.

From couch potato to experienced event crew it's been quite a journey - back in 2011 an unfit chap decided it was time to put that right, and having cycled extensively as a youth that seemed the way back. From being lucky enough to be picked for the Cycling Plus magazine reader team in 2012 and the wealth of experience that brought to go on to write as a freelance journalist for most of the UK's major cycling publications, working on quality events seemed a natural thing to want to get involved in.

Dave

Support Crew & Guide.

I grew up in the far north of Scotland where cycling was how you got around as a kid but it wasn’t until 1995 that I discovered the real enjoyment that cycling offers. I was always into distance challenges and had my first venture abroad in 1999 when I rode from LA to San Francisco and it has been a passion of mine since. Highlights have been working from a cycling base in the Pyrenees for a year and completing the Race Across America twice.
